The rolling hills of Flinders on a small acreage provide the setting for this outstanding secluded resort-style dwelling.

The brief was to provide a dwelling with a separation of spaces for three adult generations. Individual age group areas combined with generous communal gathering places for the entire family were a priority. An internal swimming pool, caretaker’s accommodation and extensive landscaping completed the brief.

The resulting design was a single storey linear dear form overlooking a small lake and towards Westernport Bay and Philip Island. Bold forms of rammed earth anchor the building within its natural surrounds interacting with natural timber and other lightweight elements to provide a well scaled dwelling, homogenous with the Flinders/Red Hill hinterland.
