Located on a sloping site with expansive views of Port Phillip Bay, the design brief was to reflect the relaxed attitude of the existing holiday house while being resilient to the rigors of the coastal environment. The materials used reflect the thoughtful response to the brief with large recycled timbers, rammed earth and extensive glass used throughout.
The house is divided into two distinct zones allowing separation between parents and a teenage family with communal outdoor entertaining and living areas creating a cohesive whole.
